Clifford Dupuis

very nice portrait of this hawk. Great detail and sharpness with a soft background. well done

Heather Mellon

They are such beautiful birds and I see quite a few of them here but they're all so flighty. The background and log set him off perfectly here and you got a very nicely detailed portrait of this beauty. Great shot, Harold.

Harold Fleming

I have quite a few Jays around, Heather, and the sharp-shins love chasing them so they become much less flighty when they have a cause. Thanks!

Yves Langlois

Gorgeous colours Harold. That nicely caught shark realy kicks in the image. Great lighting on the bird . Like the few white spots on the branche as well.

Harold Fleming

Thanks, Yves! It was nice to see this fellow. I haven't seen one since March.

Jeff

Harold Fleming

Thanks, Jeff! I have yet to see a Cooper's here and only one Harrier but lots of Redtails.

Debra Plett

Love this composition Harold. The hawk and tree limb have really nice lighting. The background has a bit of a mysterious appeal. Nicely captured.

Harold Fleming

The sky was blue but under the canopy it was quite dark. Thanks, Debra!

Description
A Sharp-shinned Hawk stopped by my yard to see if he could find any Jays to chase. He spent about an hour before moving on.
